Community Kitchen Campaign

The Community Kitchen Campaign exists to nourish bodies, empower youth, and strengthen families by providing equitable access to healthy meals, hands-on culinary education, and life-skills programming in underserved communities throughout Indianapolis. We envision a vibrant, inclusive community where every child is well-fed, equipped with essential life skills, and inspired to lead a healthy, empowered life—fueled by access to fresh food, transformative education, and opportunity.

Why this partnership works

1. Aligned Missions & Complementary Strengths

Elite Kids Society specializes in food access, family support, and holistic youth services (delivery, clothing, educational boxes). Tasty Teen Collective brings culinary education, youth entrepreneurship, and wellness programming. Together, they address both the root causes of food insecurity and long-term solutions through education, skills, and access.

2. Maximized Youth Impact

The collaboration allows both organizations to serve more than 10,000 youth annually, a number that neither could reach alone. Youth benefit from hands-on learning, home support, and leadership pathways, creating a full-circle impact from the kitchen to the community.

3. Shared Resources = Greater Efficiency

Joint use of the community kitchen, staff, curriculum, and delivery infrastructure reduces duplication and saves money. Budgets are merged into one powerful, streamlined $850,000 campaign—making the project more fundable and sustainable.

4. Broader Reach & Inclusivity

By combining their audiences, the partnership reaches a diverse population of youth across urban, rural, and under-resourced areas. It ensures that homebound youth, those without transportation, and youth facing food insecurity aren’t left out.

5. Leadership Collaboration with Deep Community Ties

Chef Felicia Grady and Idella Gates bring decades of combined experience in youth development, food systems, and nonprofit leadership. Their leadership ensures the partnership stays vision-driven, community-rooted, and action-focused.

Your investment

We are seeking a visionary funder to join Elite Kids Society and Tasty Teen Collective in a transformational initiative: the Community Kitchen Campaign. Your $850,000 investment will bring to life a vibrant culinary and health-focused initiative that feeds, trains, and uplifts over 10,000 underserved youth annually across Indianapolis.

This project features the build-out of a commercial kitchen space with satellite mini-kitchens, a teaching garden, outdoor picnic and indoor dining area, and year-round culinary training and nutrition education. It also supports staffing, youth programming, and delivery vehicles to ensure timely meal distribution to families in need.

We invite you to become the naming rights sponsor or lead donor for this life-changing initiative.
